For The Cursed Verse, we are focusing on the poetic form. The subject matter should be related to folklore and the beings, practises and people that it encompases. The style, and rhyme scheme of the poem is up to you. 

 

A few things to consider:

 

Keep the length of your poem between one to three minutes

Narrative driven pieces work well. Does it have a story that could be brought to life through animation? Does it contain bold, strong imagery?

 

If you'd like a starting point for something to write about then let us know. We have plenty of subjects we'd love you to turn into word worlds.

Any submissions of work must be original and unpublished.
